Baantawai Village

Baan Tawai, Hangdong Chiang Mai is best known for its handmade wood sculptures, woodcarving and other products which based on wood material by skilled craftsmen with 40-year experiences in wood carving. Baantawai was awarded OTOP Village of Thailand by the Department of Community Development  in 2004 and has become famous over the world.

Doi Suthep and Pui National Park

Doi Suhtep and Pui National Park houses the most famous Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, the place where every Chiang Mai visitors must visit. To reach the temple, visitors must climb a 309-step staircase or take the cable car. Visiting the temple, you may ride the red cab from the foot hill (near Chiang Mai University) or rent a bike or a car.. Bhuping Palace is situated not far from the temple. There are many winter flowers to admire. Doi Pui Hmong Village is also the next stop where you can see Hmong hill tribes and buy souvenirs.

​Chiang Mai Night Safari

Chiang Mai Night Safari is the world’s biggest night safari which is spread over 819 rai. It is located next to Royal Park Ratchaphruek. It is featuring 50-seat open air trams which bring visitors to meet Asiatic black bears, tigers, lions, hyenas, elephants, and many more. This night zoo has 3 different zones; North Zone is habitat of  the carnivorous animal, South Zone is habitat of the animal from African savanna, and Walking Zone which is a walking trail wrapping around Swan Lake. During the night in Night Safari there is many interesting activities and shows such as musical fountain show which visitors can admire the Musical Fountain with Water Screen, the largest in the country, Safari Dancing show with a spectacular cabaret show and so on.

Royal Flora Ratchaphruek

Royal Flora Ratchaphruek is a horticultural exhibition located only 10 kilometers from the centre of Chiang Mai. The park is named after Thailand’s national flower Ratchaphruek (Cassia fistula or golden shower tree) with its beautiful yellow blossom.  The park exhibits about 30 International Gardens, indoor and out door exhibits, rare plants and flowers.

Mae wang
